West Place Animal Sanctuary

Pro Bono Website Work
West Place is a non-profit animal sanctuary providing housing, food and medical care for sick or injured, abused wildlife, and farm animals. This is a rebranding project which includes logo identity, style guide, pattern making, web ready banner ads, and high-fidelity wireframes. Final typefaces Claredon for logo and google fonts for web, Raleway.
The before of the website was very out of date, opening with a splash page. Their navigation included 11 tabs which was analyzed again into four tabs with the existing pages as nested dropdown menu tabs instead, see site map below.
They were not using any grid system which had a bad user experience. The main component of the site is their animal gallery and getting the user to either volunteer and/or donate which gets lost in their current design.
The footer was also redesigned as it is incredibly large and again, lack of a grid system, lack of a branded readable color scheme creating bad UX and UI.
